The beginning of a Lotus Lily opening in a pond on the island of Maui Hawaii. The Lotus Lily is a wonderful lily as its pads are large and round, doing the pond a favor, by covering a lot of the water surface to help keep algae at bay.

I have always had a thing for color, in my youth it was crayons, chalk and finger paints. My teachers in school would never let me sit by the windows in class, which had views of pastures with cows, birds and flowers, so I'm guessing it was because I was to busy looking at the world of color out those windows, instead of listening. At a young age I was given cameras for gifts, so I clicked lots of photos, which I still have today, many are mostly of family, friends and animals. I bought my first camera in my early 20's, a Konica view finder 35mm, loved that camera, then I graduated to a Yashica with all the different lenses.
